Chakhesang Baptist Church Council’s 8th Women Convention concludes

Section of participants and resources persons during CBCC’s 8th Women Convention.

Kohima, March 11 (MExN): A three day long 8th Women Convention of the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) was held from March 7 to 9 at Kiitsapo village under the theme “Be Transformed to transform” (Romans 12:2)

The gospel speakers of the convention included Rev Dr Chekrovei Cho-o, Executive Secretary Chakhesang Baptist Church, Dr Vekutulii L Veyie, Principal BTC and  Dr Adela Mero, Administrator, Rainbow Academy Recourses Center.

The resource persons were Rev Dr Vevo Phesao, President CBCC, Dr Sao Tunyi, proprietor Providence Garden, Alemla Samuel, Life Ministry Learning Centre and Meripeni Zares, Assistant Protocol Officer. The Devotion service was led by Dr Khrotsolou Wetsah, Vice Principal BTC and Mudovolu Swiiro, Associate Professor, BTC

Dr Adela Mero preached the Word of God during the Sunday Morning Worship service. She spoke on the topic, “Be Transformed to Transform: Family.” She reminded the gathering that, when one fears God and obey Him, He enables people to become transformative.

Change in the family usually begins with a mother, hence women need to be a catalyst of change and act as an agent of transformation in the family. 

She further challenged that, in order to be an agent of change, one need to be loyal and loving, devoted to family, have courage and trust and be truthful. Dr Mero also challenged the women folks to be a cycle breaker of the past as well the stereotyping of the society.

The two licentiates and women missionaries, Muzipolü Nyekha and Vetalü Rhakho conducted the Holy Communication and the distribution of the Eucharist elements were assisted by the Women Pastors.

Nagaland Baptist Church Council women secretary Katoli V. Sumi shared greetings during the service. The worship service on Sunday was led by N Vekuto Rhakho, Pastor Kutsapo Baptist Church and invocation prayer by Neikuteü Chizo. The Tizu Area and WCBCC Choirs presented message in songs respectively. Angami Baptist Church Council  Women Secretary Ruokovinuo Noudi shared greetings. A word of gratitude was delivered by CBCC Women Secretary Neingupeü K Rhakho. The service concluded with a benediction by Rev Mülüvoyi Nienu, Finance Secretary, CBCC.
