Children’s Sports tourney at Nagaland University Lumami

Nagaland University’s headquarters Lumami bristled with a wide variety of sport activities for children on August 23. From spoon race to musical chair to chess, table tennis and badminton, children below eighteen years were provided an opportunity to showcase their sporting skills. There was enthusiastic participation from the wards of Nagaland University employees, with the youngest participant being only a little more than two years old. The tournament was organised by Lumami Campus Sports Club (LCSC) of Nagaland University, Lumami.  

At the valedictory function, chaired by Dr. Rumi Dhar (Vice-President, LCSC), short speeches were delivered by Chief Guest Dr. Abemo (Registrar, Nagaland University), Dr. Likhase Sangtam (Former President, LCSC), Dr. Tovishe Phucho (Founding President, LCSC), and Mr. Peter Ki (President, LCSC). 

Prizes were given away by the Chief Guest Dr. Abemo, who is also the Patron of Lumami Campus Sports Club. The audience was also treated to melodious songs in English and Hindi by Nihovi. The programme ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sandeep Gupta (General Secretary, LCSC).
