Dimapur, November 17 (MExN): The Nagaland U-23 team registered its second win in the ongoing Col CK Nayudu Trophy defeating Meghalaya by 57 runs.
The plate-group match, which started on November 14, had the team gaining the upper hand over the opponent in the second innings.
Meghalaya won the toss and decided to field to bowl out Nagaland for 173 in 1st innings. In reply, Meghalaya scored 178 to get a 5 run lead.
Nagaland scored 216 in the second innings. Meghalaya fell short of the win target getting all out with the score on 154 and 57 runs short of the target.
In its first match, Nagaland handed an innings defeat to Sikkim. Nagaland will play their third match against Manipur at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima from November 22 to 25.
