Dimapur, March 15 (MExN): A community hall at Saijang, a Kuki village under Peren district, constructed under MGNREGA Scheme 2010-2011 was inaugurated on March 12 by Azheto Zhimomi, MLA and advisor, Sericulture and Co-operation as chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest pointed out that drastic change in terms of development and peace among the people has come to Nagaland since Neiphiu Rio led DAN government took over reign in the state.
Azheto pointed out that if the government is not stable then there can not be development and peace and added that under the leadership of visionary leader Neiphiu Rio, Nagaland has made tremendous progress. He called on the people of support the government which bvwould remain stable benefit the people.
Also dwelling on development aspects, Azheto said government has given full liberty and responsibility for development activities in their respective villages and community by way of communitizing the departments. It is the government who will make the policy and provide fund but it is people at the grass root level who are responsible execute the work for development.
He reminded the villagers to choose honest and sincere people to head the communitized committees so that funds provided by the government are purposefully utilized.
Stating the government officials does not educate the villagers, he urged the government officials to be sincere in duties and to educate the people about various projects and schemes.
Azheto was accorded a warm reception by Saijang villagers. L. Singsit, IPS, Special Secretary, Home, EAS Hatibung, officers of RD and 9th IRB, Sajaing were present at the function.
