Unity College emerges champion of inter-collegiate commerce fest
 

Dimapur, February 10 (MExN): The Department of Commerce, Unity College organised its annual inter-collegiate commerce fest ‘COMMVANZA 2020’ under the theme ‘towards a greener world’ on February 8.

 
The event was graced by Neichute Duolo, Founder and CEO/Coordinator of Entrepreneurs Associates, Nagaland as the special guest. In his speech, Duolo highlighted the importance of a greener world and urged the students to plant more fruit trees to create a greener Nagaland. 


Dr Tongpangkumla, HoD, Department of Commerce, Unity College in a press release stated that the events included The Entrepreneur, Shutterbug, Quiz O Mania, Group Discussion, Turncoat and Lip-Sync Battle. The judges were Dr Dhrubajyoti Bordoloi, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, Nagaland University, Ajay Sethi, Managing Director, NIIT and Imcha Jamir, Wedding Photographer. 


The festival was powered by Kaziranga University, Assam and co-sponsored by Electro Mart, Motul Motor Oil, NIIT and The Food Court, Dimapur. 


The participating colleges in COMMVANZA 2020 were St Joseph College Jakhama, Mount Mary College Chümoukedima, Tetso College Dimapur, Pranabananda Women’s College Dimapur, ICFAI University Dimapur, SD Jain Girls College Dimapur and Unity College Dimapur. Unity College emerged the Overall winner followed by Tetso College as the runner-up.
