Kohima, November 8 (MExN): The Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) has directed all shops within the Kohima Municipal Area to repaint their shutters by November 30, 2026, as part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations.
In a notice, the KCCI also instructed shop owners to keep their signboards clean and in good condition and install LED lighting on their signboards or shopfronts. KCCI officials will monitor compliance with the directives.
To reduce the financial burden on shop owners, the KCCI has partnered with British Paints, which is offering a 40 per cent discount on Ultra White paint for shops undertaking the repainting work.
The offer is valid until November 30, 2026. The KCCI has advised shop owners to purchase the paint early to allow sufficient time for completing the work before the deadline.
To avail of the discount, shop owners must present either a trade licence or KCCI registration certificate at any of the following British Paints authorised outlets: Solo Hardware, High School Junction, Asiatic Technology, Main Town, and Smart Paint, Mohonkhola.
