New Delhi, November 8 (MExN): The Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD) has extended Diwali greetings and best wishes to the people of India, wishing them happiness, prosperity, good health and peace.
In a press release, Javed Raza, National President of the party, along with its office-bearers, conveyed warm wishes on the occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights.
Raza said Diwali was not merely a festival of lighting lamps and celebrating happiness but also symbolised the victory of light over darkness, truth over falsehood and justice over injustice.
He called upon people to pledge to uphold peace, harmony, mutual brotherhood, social unity and communal amity across the country.
Emphasising that India's strength lay in its diversity, rich Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb and the spirit of mutual love, respect and trust, Raza said collective efforts were needed to build a society where every religion, community and section enjoyed equal respect, dignity and opportunities.
Senior party leader Anoop Agarwal said that while celebrating Diwali and remembering Lord Shri Ram's return to Ayodhya, people should also recall the sacrifice, dedication and fraternal love of Lord Lakshman. He said the festival inspired people to uphold the values of sacrifice, dignity, devotion to duty and family bonds.
