Consecration Prayer

Almighty God, the Creator of heaven and earth.
We praise your magnificent Name and adore your wonderful works;
You are the root of human race, the God of all nations and the Author of history.
O Lord God of Israel, the God of the Nagas,
We acknowledge that you are our saviour.
You called the Nagas out of darkness into your marvelous light
To make them your own people;
You made a promise to our fathers saying, “Nagalim shall be for Christ.”
Inspired and guided by that spirit of promise,
The Naga people have been marching on to possess it.
O Sovereign God, in you alone we shall trust;
For you are our God and we are your people;
Now, O Lord, save us from our enemies
who by their evil schemes fragmented us into pieces;
Protect us from the aggressors who want to destroy us;
Keep your people safe in your care.
O Lord, today, as we gather together here,
To commence the Naga National Prayer Day
We hallowed your name among us.
We confess and acknowledge your holy name
As Lord of lords and God of gods.
From this time forth, generations after generations,
We shall be confessing your holy name;
As we call upon your name, O Lord, bless us;
And bless those who bless us as well.
In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray,
And all the God’s people say in unison: AMEN!
