Kohima, November 19 (MExN): The inaugural ceremony of the annual sports cum cultural week- Euphoria 2018 of Don Bosco College, Kohima (DBCK) was held on November 19 at the college premises.
Fr James TP SDB, Principal Don Bosco Hr Sec School attended as special invitee. Fr James in his speech appreciated the students’ forum for giving a big hand in organizing the event.
He further challenged them to go beyond the barriers of one’s own culture and to promote human culture.
He later gave away the Blue ribbon awards to students who excelled in academic and Co-curricular activities, a press reels here informed.
Rachutuo Metha, Social & Cultural Secretary, DBCKSF chaired the session.
Highlights of the event include hoisting of college flag, oath taking, and cultural competitions. Traditional stilt bamboo race, fire making and grease poll climbing were some competitions.
Kelhoukhielie , BA 6th semester, Keduongulie Metha, BA 4th semester and Nganyan, BA 4th Semester emerged as winners of grease poll competition, traditional fire making competition, and traditional Stilt Bamboo Race respectively.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Seropi Sangtam, Asst. general Secretary, DBCKF.
