DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 5 (MExN): The fourth round of Dimapur Football League organized by Naga United Football Club was played on Friday at DDSC Stadium.
In the first match Ekhyo FC edged past A1 Powerplay Club by a solitary goal. Yiben of Ekhyo FC scored the sole winning goal for his club in the 67th minute. Victor, Ekonthung and Wobenshaw of Ekhyo FC were cautioned during the first half. The man of the match in the first match went to Meribemo of Ekhyo FC and the award was presented by Match Patron, Tokaito Yepthomi.
In the second match Chanan FC beat Titan Sports 1-0. Dinsingam Gangnmei of Chanan FC was declared man of the match. Mhademo of Titan FC was cautioned in the 23rd minute.
The winning goal for Chanan FC came from the boots of Sanjonbou in the 54th minute.
Earlier, the match patron emphasized on the qualities that a sportsman should have including discipline, commitment, dedication and integrity. He described the game of football as a game of patience, strength, teamwork and respect for each other.
“Without teamwork, success can hardly be achieved,” he said. He lauded the Naga United FC for organizing the event and providing a platform for young and talented Naga players to show case their talents.
