Kohima, July 31 (MExN): The Department of Information Technology & Communication (IT&C), Government of Nagaland, in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, organised a Digital India Awareness Workshop at the Directorate of IT&C in Kohima on July 30.
Around 130 officials from various government departments attended the workshop, which featured sessions on the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, and Digital Public Infrastructure platforms including DigiLocker, Entity Locker and UMANG. Resource persons from NeGD and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) led the sessions.
A highlight of the programme was the felicitation of the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) for fully integrating DigiLocker into its recruitment portal. NeGD presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the commission, recognising Nagaland as "the first State in Eastern India and only the third nationwide after Kerala and Karnataka to implement both DigiLocker models."
The inaugural programme included a welcome address by IT&C Director Sabou Yashu, an address by Ajay Kumar, Onboarding Expert, DigiLocker, NeGD, and concluded with a vote of thanks by Joint Director, IT&C, Chura Katiry.
