In another fire incident, attributed to electrical short circuit, atleast 10 houses were razed in a tightly packed neighbourhood in Dimapur on March 31.

The fire started at around 6:30 pm in the old MST (Manipur State Transport) station, near the Sumi Baptist church.

Among the razed properties included two warehouses and a scrap shop. Initial estimates said that some Rs 50 lakh worth of property was lost to the fire. 

The Fire & Emergency Services pressed into action multiple fire tenders, bringing the blaze under control in about one and a half hours. 

There was no report of any human casualty.
