DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 2 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has issued a public notice prohibiting the improper dumping of construction and demolition (C&D) waste at roadsides, drains and open spaces within Dimapur. According to the notice issued by the Dimapur Municipal Council, such acts are strictly prohibited and will attract penalties under applicable rules.
The DMC stated that individuals, contractors and builders intending to dispose of construction and demolition waste may do so only at the DMC dumpsite, subject to payment of a prescribed fee of Rs.200.
It further cautioned that disposal of C&D waste at unauthorised locations will invite legal action.
