DIMAPUR, APRIL 2 (MExN): Dimapur Mission Higher Secondary School held its Annual Spring Retreat on March 29 at DABA Town Fellowship Church, engaging students from classes I to XII in a day focused on learning, reflection, and spiritual growth. The retreat, centered around the theme of "Acceptance" based on Romans 15:7, aimed to foster self-discipline, faith, and teamwork among the participants.

According to a press release, the event commenced with an introductory address by the school’s Principal, Alemtushi Imchen, who set a reflective tone for the day. Students then participated in a "Singspiration" session, where they were encouraged to worship through music.

A devotional led by Merensola, the school Chaplain and Counsellor, followed, where he highlighted the significance of acceptance, particularly the idea of “Why God accepts me.” The session provided students an opportunity for spiritual reflection and personal growth.

The retreat also included interactive activities such as a Fun & Games session, which facilitated team-building and collaboration among students.

One of the key moments of the day was a talk on “Cultivating Self-discipline” by Wapang, an English teacher at the school. His address focused on the importance of developing self-discipline, integrity, and perseverance, encouraging students to integrate these values into their daily lives.

The retreat concluded with a prayer session, offering participants a moment to reflect on the day’s experiences.
