DPDB Dimapur discusses development and workplace safety

DIMAPUR, MARCH 20 (MExN): The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Dimapur held its monthly meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s office on March 20. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Dr Tinojungshi Chang.

Dr Chang welcomed all members and urged a collaborative approach to the district's overall development. He emphasized workplace safety and directed all departments to display posters regarding the implementation of the Sexual Harassment at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act within office premises to raise awareness.

Key items discussed during the meeting included the proposed change of nomenclature for certain schools and the registration of societies, which were recommended to the state government for approval.

The meeting also saw the introduction of two new members: B. Yanrunthang Kikon, Superintendent of Jail, Dimapur, and Er. Lhuvoyi, Executive Engineer (E), Power, Dimapur.

It was decided that in the next meeting, a PowerPoint presentation would be delivered by the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) and the One Stop Centre (Sakhi).
