DIMAPUR, AUGUST 29 (MExN): Former State Information Commissioner of Assam and an eminent journalist, Dr Samudra Gupta Kashyap has been appointed as Chancellor of Nagaland University.
A press release issued by Nagaland University (NU) on Tuesday informed that it received information from Ministry of Education, Government of India that the President of India in her capacity as Visitor of NU appointed Dr Samudra Gupta Kashyap as the Chancellor of Nagaland University on August 27.
NU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jagadish Kumar Patnaik expressed hope that the appointment of Dr Samudra Gupta Kashyap will accelerate the all-round development of the University. Dr Samudra Gupta Kashyap is a Guwahati-based journalist who completed his Post Graduate Diploma from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi.
