DIMAPUR, MARCH 30 (MExN): The Eastern Sumi Students’ Union (ESSU) conducted a site visit on March 27 to assess the ongoing road construction between Tokiye Town and Khekiye village. The visit aimed to evaluate the progress and ensure that the work meets the specifications outlined in the work order.

In a press release, the ESSU observed that the construction is progressing as planned, and the quality of the work appears to meet the required standards. The ESSU also recognized the efforts of the contractors involved in the project, noting the visible progress and the commitment to the project’s completion.

The Union acknowledged the role of G Ikuto Zhimomi, Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) and Advisor of Land Resources, for his involvement in initiating and overseeing the project. The road, which serves as an important link for the communities of Hoshepu Range, Satoi, and Satakha, has been a long-standing need for local residents and travelers. The ESSU emphasized that the road construction is seen as a key infrastructure development that is expected to positively impact the local economy.

The ESSU also called on the local community to avoid any actions that might disrupt the construction process, warning that such interference could affect the quality and timely completion of the project. Additionally, the Union cautioned against any unlawful demands from individuals or groups that could impede the progress of the work.

The ESSU reiterated its commitment to ensuring the quality of the construction and stated that it would not remain silent if any actions compromised the standards or hindered the completion of the project.
