FAC pushes for stronger administrative practices

Faculty members and resource persons during the two-day Faculty Development Programme on "Office Procedures and Financial Administration" organised by the IQAC of Fazl Ali College, Mokokchung.

Mokokchung, July 31 (MExN): The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Fazl Ali College (FAC), Mokokchung is conducting a two-day Faculty Development Programme on ‘Office Procedures and Financial Administration’ from July 30 to 31 to strengthen faculty competencies in office administration and institutional governance.

According to a press release, the programme features resource persons I Aochuba Pongener, Additional Director, Treasuries and Accounts, Kohima, and Asalie Lese, NCS, Deputy Secretary, Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, Kohima.

The programme began on July 30 with a short inaugural session chaired by Watitoshi Ao, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics. An introductory note was delivered by IQAC Coordinator Bendangsenla.

During the first day, Pongener conducted sessions on "Financial Management and Audit" and "Pension: OPS, NPS and UPS," providing participants with a detailed overview of the subjects.

The programme aims to enhance faculty capacity through practical training in office procedures, file processing, noting and drafting, official communication, record maintenance, financial management, audit practices and pension systems.

The college stated that the initiative reflects its commitment to promoting good governance, effective leadership and management, quality assurance and continuous institutional improvement. It added that the programme seeks to reinforce professionalism, administrative excellence, fiscal discipline and continuous quality enhancement within the institution.
