DIMAPUR, AUGUST 25 (MExN): Indian Fast Bowlers Foundation (IFBF) with Wati Imsong as head coach was launched on August 25 at a programme held at Hotel Lake Shilloi.
According to a press release, the objective of the foundation is to find raw fast bowling talent and coach them on the biomechanics of fast bowling for avoiding injury and enhancing career chances.
The release said that Imsong trained under the celebrated bowling coach, Ian Pont, a former English cricketer and currently an international coach specialising in pace bowling.
India has long been blessed with top-notch world class batsmen but “not many World Class Bowlers have stamped their Authority in the International Circuit. And with the Ranji Trophy commencing shortly in the North East, the IFBF assures to generate Fast Bowlers that would dominate the World of Cricket, the release said.
Camps, trials and selection schedules will be updated in the Official Facebook Group of the IFBF, it informed.
