Engines roared, tyres screamed, and adrenaline surged through the 4th NAP Battalion Ground in Thizama as Kohima played host to the thrilling JK Tyre-powered Indian Racing Festival — a fast-paced salute to 25 years of the Nagaland Adventure & Motor Sports Association (NAMSA).

Dubbed as the Festival of Speed, the event brought top Indian motorsport talents and excited crowds together to celebrate speed, skill, and excitement.
From thrilling car drifts by Ashwin and Sanam in Lexus and BMWs to amazing superbike stunts by Kruba Chander and Prabhakaran on Honda and Suzuki bikes, excitement ran high throughout the event.

Karting prodigies Yatharth Gaur and Aarav Sureka zipped around in RotEx Karts, proving that the future of Indian racing is fast and fearless. Formula 4 driver Sohail Shah and IRL Wolf Car specialist Sandeep Kumar brought professional flair, while rally veterans Hari Singh, Sunny Kumar, and Bobby Bhogal worked their magic behind the wheels of stunt-tuned Maruti Balenos.
The day kicked off with a short felicitation programme. Hari Singh, Head of Operations at JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., expressed his long-standing admiration for Nagaland’s vibrant motorsport culture, especially during events like the Hornbill Festival.

Neingulie Nakhro chaired the programme, with Tovi Chophi, General Secretary of NAMSA delivering the welcome address. Kuputo Shohe, Advisor NAMSA, led the felicitation of the visiting team, while Lhouvi Punyii wrapped up the event with a vote of thanks.
As the engines cooled and the dust settled, it was clear—Kohima’s loves for motorsport is only growing.
