Festival of Speed to feature Formula 4 cars, superbikes, drift shows in Kohima

KOHIMA, April 11 (MExN): As excitement builds ahead of the ‘Festival of Speed’ in Kohima, organizers have revealed the full lineup of motorsport performances set to take place at the 25th anniversary celebration of the Nagaland Adventure & MotorSports Association (NAMSA) on April 12.

Presented by JK Tyre Motorsport, the event will be held at the Thizama, 4th Battalion NAP grounds and is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM. Entry to the event is free, though it will be restricted after the start time.

The high-octane show will feature a choreographed display of machines and riders in action, including Formula 4 and Wolf cars, two RotEx Go-Karts, and drift cars such as Lexus and BMW models. Four stunt-tuned Baleno cars will perform synchronized maneuvers while superbike enthusiasts can look forward to demonstrations by the Honda CBR 650 and Suzuki GSX 750.

Organizers said the event has been designed to provide a thrilling, close-up experience of motorsports in motion, combining technical precision with visual spectacle.

The Festival of Speed marks a milestone for NAMSA, which has spent 25 years promoting motorsport and adventure sports in Nagaland and the Northeast. “This adrenaline-packed event celebrates NAMSA’s legacy and brings the thrill of motorsport directly to the streets of Kohima,” the organizers said.

In addition to showcasing vehicles and stunt riding, the event is expected to offer inspiration to young motorsport enthusiasts in the region and raise the profile of Nagaland in India’s broader motorsport scene.
