KOHIMA, APRIL 10 (MExN): The streets of Kohima will soon come alive with the roar of engines as the Nagaland Adventure & MotorSports Association (NAMSA) marks its 25th anniversary with the ‘Festival of Speed,’ a motorsport event presented by JK Tyre Motorsport. Organizers say the event, part of the Indian Racing Festival, will feature superbikes, formula cars, go-karts, and drift machines, offering a high-energy experience aimed at motorsport enthusiasts and the broader public. Founded in 1999, NAMSA has been at the forefront of promoting motorsports and adventure sports in Nagaland and across the Northeast. The “Festival of Speed” is intended as both a tribute to the organization’s legacy and a platform to inspire greater youth involvement in performance-based sports. “The event is a celebration of competition, precision, and high-performance driving,” organizers said in a statement, adding that the festival underscores Nagaland’s emerging presence in India’s motorsport landscape. An official date for the event is yet to be announced. It will take place in Kohima, with participation from racers and teams across the country. The festival is being organized by NAMSA and powered by JK Tyre Motorsport.
