DIMAPUR, JUNE 8 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has terminated I. Akavi Chishi from his position as Chaplee Kilonser with immediate effect, citing misconduct and violation of the principles of the Naga National Council/Federal Government of Nagaland (NNC/FGN).
In a statement issued on June 8, the FGN said that Akavi Chishi, who was entrusted with the responsibilities of the Chaplee Ministry, failed to fulfill his duties and engaged in acts contrary to national service. The termination was attributed to his “lack of engagement in any activity, regardless of its scale or importance,” as well as “failure to submit any amount to the treasury of the Government, embezzlement and dishonest practice.”
The statement, signed by Gen. (Retd.) T.M. Rhakho, Kedahge of the Federal Government of Nagaland, said that such actions were “against the principles of the NNC/FGN.” The FGN has cautioned all individuals and groups not to entertain Akavi Chishi in any capacity on behalf of the NNC/FGN moving forward.
