Former Nagaland minister V Kashiho Sangtam has been appointed as a Non-Official Director on its Board.

Dimapur, August 18 (MExN): Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has appointed former Nagaland minister V Kashiho Sangtam as a Non-Official Director on its Board.

The appointment follows an order issued by the Ministry of Railways (Order No. 2026/PL/57/16 dated August 13, 2026), which stated that the President of India has appointed Sangtam for a term of three years, with immediate effect, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Sangtam, who served as Cabinet Minister for Soil & Water Conservation and Geology & Mining, and as Chairman of the Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation (NSMDC), brings experience in public administration, natural resources, and state-level development to the CONCOR board, stated a press release. 

CONCOR, which functions under the administrative control of the Ministry of Railways, is primarily engaged in the transportation and handling of containerised cargo and plays a key role in India’s multimodal logistics and freight transportation network.

The appointment is part of the constitution of the Board of Directors of CONCOR, which functions under the administrative control of the Ministry of Railways.
