From chalk to click: Shitilong primary school gets smart classroom

Mokokchung, January 22 (MExN): A smart classroom was inaugurated at Government Primary School, Shitilong, Mokokchung, on January 21, marking a collaborative initiative between the District Administration Mokokchung and the State Bank of India under the bank’s “Empowering Education” Corporate Social Responsibility programme.

The facility was inaugurated by Temsuchuba Jamir, SDO(C) Mokokchung, who attended the programme as chief guest. In his address, Jamir expressed gratitude to the State Bank of India for its contribution to community upliftment through educational initiatives. He also highlighted the scope for further collaboration between the district administration and the bank in the education sector and urged the teaching staff to make full use of the smart classroom to deliver quality education and support students’ growth.

Imodangba, chairman of the School Management Committee, expressed gratitude to the district administration, specifically mentioning Deputy Commissioner Ajit Kumar Verma, and the State Bank of India for their support.

Imtitoshi Imsong, branch manager of SBI Alongmen branch, spoke on the bank’s CSR initiatives covering education, health and sanitation, and encouraged students and teachers to maximize the benefits of the smart classroom.

The programme was chaired by Lipokkumla, PT, with invocation by Lin’u’kyanger, pastor, MBC, and benediction by Km. Temsujungla Pongen, APCE, MBA.

Officials present included Ajay Moktan, assistant commissioner; Chubasanen, EAC headquarters; the DEO Mokokchung, along with students, parents and village elders.
