KOHIMA, AUGUST 20 (MExN): Governor Nand Kishore Yadav visited the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Kohima, on Thursday and launched two emerging startups, Kora and Zodmo Technologies Private Limited.
During the visit, the Governor toured various infrastructure facilities at the NIELIT Academic Block and visited the Cyber Forensic R&D Lab, where he familiarised himself with the facilities and activities being undertaken.
The launch of the two startups highlighted the growing spirit of entrepreneurship, technology and innovation among the youth of Nagaland. It also underscored the potential of homegrown startups to develop technology-driven solutions for local needs and create opportunities in the digital economy.
Zodmo Technologies has developed a locally focused online marketplace that enables users to buy, sell, rent and discover a range of goods and services within Nagaland.
The Governor interacted with representatives of the emerging ventures, highlighting the importance of encouraging young entrepreneurs and innovators to harness technology for inclusive growth and strengthening the ecosystem for startups and digital enterprises in the State.
He was also briefed on various activities and initiatives undertaken by NIELIT Kohima. The visit provided an opportunity to understand the institute’s role in promoting digital skills, technology, innovation and capacity building in Nagaland.
