Kohima, Jul 30 (MExN): The Gorkha Public Panchayat Kohima (GPPK) has expressed profound grief over the passing of Arthur Edwards, founder and administrator of Livingstone Foundation International in Dimapur.
Edwards, a visionary educationist and mentor, transformed the lives of thousands of students across Nagaland and beyond through his lifelong commitment to quality education, the GPPK said in a statement.
The Gorkha community of Kohima fondly remembered his contribution towards the education and upliftment of countless Gorkha students, who were provided opportunities to pursue quality education, develop leadership qualities and build successful careers through his institution.
His kindness, humility and inclusive vision created an environment where students from diverse communities, including the Gorkhas, felt valued and encouraged to excel, the statement added.
The GPPK extended its sympathies to the bereaved family, management, faculty, staff, students, alumni and the entire Livingstone Foundation International family. “His legacy of education, service, and humanity will forever remain in our hearts,” the GPPK said.
