MLA Achumbemo Kikon and others during reopening of GPS Zukheshe.
Kohima, April 6 (MExN): MLA Achumbemo Kikon, Chairman SDPDB Bhandari reopened the GPS Zukheshe ( Tsapfu) under 40th Bhandari AC after a gap of 7 years.
It may be mentioned that GPS Zukheshe was earlier merged with GMS Puneboto under SDEO Mankholemba in 2017. However, with the improvement of enrollment at the Primary level, the Department of School Education decided to de-merged the GPS Zukheshe from GMS Puneboto.
While thanking the Department of School Education for restoring the GPS Zukheshe to its original place, Kikon urged upon the department to post sufficient number of teachers for smooth running of the school.
The MLA also urged the department to consider shifting of GPS Zukheshe from SDEO Mankholemba to SDEO Bhandari as it falls within 40 AC.
