I do not recognize who I am'
I've been in darkness for so long,
That I am blind,
I am afraid.
I wish that I could talk to God,
To ask Him what I need to do?
But deaf am I,
From long nights of screaming.
Such pain I now feel,
And at the crossroads I stand.
A choice must be made,
As to which route I shall follow.
If only I could talk to God,
To have reassurance,
That who I am,
Is who I'll remain.
Instead God spoke to me,
And I could hear,
And what he said,
Gave me strength.
"My child, My glorious child,
You are exactly the way I made you.
You have walked in your darkness,
Far too long,
And now you cannot see,
That by walking in My light,
You shall become the person,
That you were always meant to be".
