Mokokchung, January 28 (MExN): Medical instruments donated under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme at Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) Mokokchung was acknowledged in a programme held on January 28.
Two numbers of oxygen generators, two syringe pumps and one hand dryer was donated under the programme.
Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Limawapang Jamir in his speech mentioned that BBBP is a flagship programme of Government of India to provide special care and support to empower Girl Child in the country. He said that the district administration will extend full support and co-operation to the concerned institution so that better health care services can be rendered to the community under the programme. He also hoped that such facilities can be extended to the CHC and PHC in days to come.
A DIPR report stated that Nodal Officer of BBBP Mokokchung, Dharam Raj IAS SDO (CIVIL) Mokokchung in his short address pointed out that Mokokchung District proved to be a leader in implementing BBBP programme in the State.
Earlier in the programme, Deputy CMO Mokokchung Dr. Medem extended his gratitude to the District Administration for their concern and support. The programme was chaired by MoamenlaLongkumer, WWO, Mokokchung.
