Dimapur, June 15 (MExN): Students of Beanstalk School, Dimapur, participated in an interactive seminar on Artificial Intelligence (AI) organised by instudia on June 12, aimed at familiarising them with emerging technologies and their application in education.

The workshop sought to demystify AI by demonstrating how students can use AI-powered tools as study assistants to enhance learning outcomes and improve productivity.

Addressing the participants, instudia Director Daniel Changkija encouraged students to move beyond being passive users of technology and become active innovators and creators. He said the organisation's mission is to provide world-class technological exposure to the youth of Dimapur and prepare them for an increasingly automated future.

The hands-on technical session was led by resource person Vishal Bardewa, who shared practical insights on balancing the use of AI tools with genuine skill development. He said responsible use of AI could help students save time on routine tasks and devote greater attention to creativity and critical thinking.

"AI isn't about replacing your brain; it's about upgrading your toolkit," Bardewa said, adding that AI tools can handle repetitive organisational tasks and basic research filtering, allowing students to focus on deeper and more meaningful learning.

The seminar concluded with an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session, during which students explored the future of AI in creative industries and everyday life while also discussing issues related to data security, ethical technology and academic integrity.

Organisers said the programme aimed to equip students with a better understanding of artificial intelligence and prepare them to adapt responsibly to evolving technological advancements.
