IRCS Niuland Branch launched

Indian Red Cross Society, Niuland Branch launched in Niuland on March 27.

Niuland, March 27 (MExN): The formal launching programme of the Indian Red Cross Society, Niuland Branch was held at Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall, Niuland on March 27.

Addressing the programme as special guest, Akhale V Khamo, General Secretary of IRCSN highlighted the history and principles of the Red Cross Society, the activities being carried out by the Organisation in providing relief to those in distress, and called upon everyone present to be a volunteer of this renowned voluntary organisation which strives to promote peace, hope and humanitarian values in the society.

The Deputy Commissioner and also President of IRCS, Niuland Branch, Sara S Jamir in her address stated that setting up a Red Cross branch in Niuland district will go a long way in providing assistance to those in need transcending all race, religion, tribe etc in the District. 

During the programme, welcome address was delivered by Dr Temsu, CMO, Niuland who is the Vice- President of IRCS, Niuland Branch.

Introductory speech was given by Dr R Rose Chakhesang, Managing Committee Member of IRCS, State Branch and a short speech by Abou Mere, Director Kripa Foundation, Nagaland.
