Jamir troubled by politics of Chazouba function

DIMAPUR, OCT 21 (MExN): Goa Governor SC Jamir has expressed concern that his latest visit to Nagaland in connection with the social function at Chazouba has been politicized in the state even though neither he nor the function had anything to do with politics. He attended the function as the Governor of Goa and also as one of the senior-most citizens of the State. The organizers too, invited him in his capacity as one of the few Naga leaders alive today who have been so closely associated with the State of Nagaland since inception till date, stated a press note issued by Sebastian Zumvu, OSD to Governor, Goa.

Pointing out that Jamir was happy that he could share his opinions and concerns about the Naga society with such a huge gathering from the Chakhesang community, which according to him, is fast becoming one of the most erudite Naga tribes in the State, the press note also stated that the Goa Governor was greatly impressed with the many young Chakhesang leaders with whom he had interacted with that day, and he looks forward to have more meaningful interactions with them in the near future.
