KBK, SFS jointly organise sports fellowship

Kohima, March 30 (MExN): A one-day sports meet between Khedi Baptist Khriesariü Krotho (KBKK ) and Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA) was held on March 30.  

It was jointly organised by Khedi Baptist Kehou (KBK) in Kohima Village and St.Francis de Sales (SFS ) Parish from Kohima Town at D Khel ground in Seikhazou.  

Speaking during the inaugural program, Teisovi Gerard Meyase exhorted the participants and said one can honour God’s given gift with sports, just as any other talent. 

"This fellowship with fellow Christians of different communities gives us a great opportunity to prepare ourselves for the upcoming feast of Easter," Meyase added .

Petekhriezo Francis, Catechist of SFS read from the Scripture and invoked God's blessings while KBKK members presented special number.

During the closing ceremony,  Kezhakietuo Belho, Associate Pastor of KBK dwelling on the life of David urged the youth to utilise God's given talents in the right perspective and lead a positive life and be an examples to others as youth.

The meet was organised in order to promote friendship and fellowship between youth of the two churches through the sports, a press note informed.
