KG Kenye calls for border vigilance amid Manipur unrest

Phek, April 10 (MExN): Minister for Power & Parliamentary Affairs, KG Kenye, addressing the Phek District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) monthly meeting, requested the District Administration and Police to take intensive care in all its bordering areas to Manipur where the state is under President Rule. 

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB, Phek, John Tsulise Sangtam, in the presence of Minister Kenye and MLA, Dr Neisatuo  Mero at DC's conference hall, Phek on April 10, stated a DIPR report. 

Detailed PowerPoint presentations of department activities of the Industry and Commerce was made by Visakhole Naki, Functional Manager, Chozuba in their functional matters of which members of the house participated for discussion, where Minister KG Kenye, MLA Dr Neisatuo Mero and DC & Vice Chairman DPDB asked the concerned Department officers for consulting District Administrations in their future activities. 

The meeting discussed following agendas and agreed for recommendation to the Government for consideration: Proposal for establishment of new Government Primary School at Tepfulomi Village under ADC Chozuba; Proposal for establishment of Town Council under Nagaland Municipal Act 2023; Proposal for naming the two-lane road from Sedzu/Yeti River to Zunheboto Town as Chakhesang -Sumi Brotherhood Road. 

The meeting also deliberated the District Aids Control Society Unit, and for preventive and awareness matters on the increasing number of Aids affected people in Phek district.
