Kidima village gets DC visit after 15 years, reviews census

Kohima, July 16 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner & Principal Census Officer, Kohima, B Henok Buchem, visited Kidima Village under the Kezocha Census Charge on July 15 to oversee the ongoing House-listing and Housing Census operations.

He was accompanied by Dr Riku Khutso, EAC Sadar; Zerutso Kesiezie, EAC & Charge Officer; along with census supervisors and enumerators.

Expressing gratitude, the Chairman of Kidima Village Council thanked the DC for his visit, noting that “it had been more than 15 years since a Deputy Commissioner of Kohima last visited the village,” stated a DIPR report.

During the visit, the officials interacted with the Village Council, Gaon Buras (GBs), and representatives of the church, women, youth, and other community organizations. The Deputy Commissioner commended the village leaders and remarked that Kidima Village has never been a burden on the district administration. He urged the community leaders to extend their full cooperation to the census functionaries to ensure the successful conduct of the ongoing House-listing and Housing Census operations.
