MON, FEBRUARY 9 (MExN): The Lampong Wakching Church road was inaugurated on February 7 at Lampong Wakching Village in Mon district by W Chingang Konyak, MLA and Advisor, Geology and Mining, DUDA, Government of Nagaland.
The road, which also leads to Wakching Village, was blacktopped jointly by IKON Infratech Firm and the Lampong Wakching public. Addressing the gathering, W Chingang Konyak thanked the public for taking the initiative for the development of the village. He said that the road was vital for the public and that its construction was first initiated by him along with former Forest Minister late Y M Yollow Konyak.
During the programme, Yonglong Chemshe, VDB Secretary, thanked the MLA for initiating the construction of the Panchayat Bhawan under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan at Lampong Wakching Village.
The programme was attended by S Longnyei Konyak, SDO (Civil) Wakching, officials from the Rural Development Department, Longme Angh of Wakching Village, council chairmen and VDB Secretaries under Wakching RD Block.
Following the road inauguration, the Lampong Wakching Baptist Fellowship Building was dedicated. The foundation stone of the new fellowship building was laid by B T Benang, Pastor, Wakching Town Baptist Church.
Pastors, associate women pastors, associate youth pastors and deacons from Wakching Town, Wakching Village and Wakching Chingla attended the fellowship building programme.
