Wins for Black Caps and Vidya Bhawan HSS
DIMAPUR, MARCH 15 (MExN): Black Caps Junior and Vidya Bhawan Higher Secondary School won their respective matches at the Late Kurshed Hussain Memorial U-18 tournament on March 15.
In the first match of the day, Black Caps junior beat Dimapur Royals Junior by 2 wickets.
Choosing to bat first, Dimapur Royals put up a total of 94 runs in 21.3 overs before being bowled out.
Tohuka was the highest scorer followed by Yugandhar with 17 runs. Jeetendar was the highest wicket taker for Black Caps with 3 wickets while Sanjeev and Alok bagged 2 wickets each.
Black Caps managed to reach the target by scoring 96 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 23.3 overs. Sanjeev with 48 runs was the top scorer while Raja was Dimapur Royals’ best bowler with 3 wickets. The man of the match was awarded to Sanjeev of Black Caps.
In the second match of the day, Vidhya Bhawan HSS defeated Pranab Vidyapith HSS by 47 runs.
Vidhya Bhawan HSS won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 88 runs before being bowled out in 17.1 overs. Uday was their top scorer with 23 runs. Abhijit was the pick of the bowlers for Pranab Vidyapith HSS with 3 wickets while Atish and Prasad bagged 2 wickets each.
In the second innings, Pranab Vidyapith HSS were bowled out for 41 runs in just 12.3 overs.
Uday was Vidya Bhawan’s best bowler with 5 wickets and adjudged as the man o fthe match.
