LFC 2025 Trophy: XI Brothers, Nitsyan FC cruise to semifinals

The 2025 LFC tournament quarterfinals witnessed commanding victories from XI Brothers and Nitsyan FC, both securing their spots in the semifinals.

XI Brothers decimate 
Titans XI 14-0
In a one-sided encounter, defending champions XI Brothers demonstrated their dominance with a staggering 14-0 victory over Titans XI. The match saw a record-breaking performance from Hatsabemo, who netted a remarkable nine goals in the 14th, 20th, 33rd, 39th, 40th, 59th, 75th, 79th, and 80th minutes. Benri Murry added a brace, scoring in the 24th and 85th minutes. Woshon (34), Mhonthung (65), and Awangpo (78) also contributed with a goal each, sealing a humiliating defeat for Titans XI and sending XI Brothers into the semifinals.

Nitsyan FC Triumphs 3-1 against Friends Club
In the second quarterfinal, Nitsyan FC emerged victorious in a thrilling contest, overcoming Friends Club 3-1. The match, however, was briefly halted in the first half due to crowd disturbances. Despite the interruption, the game resumed with Nitsyan FC taking the lead through a 23rd-minute goal by Yiben. Friends Club responded in the second half with an equalizer from Lichonthung in the 57th minute. But it was Yiben who stole the show, scoring two more goals in the 77th and 79th minutes to complete his hat-trick and secure Nitsyan FC’s place in the semifinals.

With the quarterfinals now complete, attention turns to the next round, with Old Changsu facing Mount Morashen Club (MMC) and Lower Senchum taking on Humtso SA on January 20. The stage is set for more intense action as the race for the LFC 2025 title continues.
