Dimapur, August 7 (MExN): The Lions Club of Dimapur Elite organised “Summer Camp 2026” on August 5 at the P.K. Travels Building in Dimapur, bringing together children aged 5 to 13 for a day of learning, creativity and recreational activities.
The camp was conducted in two age groups—Group A for children aged 5 to 8 and Group B for those aged 9 to 13. Participants took part in activities including dance and Zumba, art and craft, public speaking, extempore and show-and-tell, clay art, gratitude cards and jars, sports and games, fireless cooking, table manners and etiquette, financial literacy and AI learning.
The organisers said the programme was aimed at providing children with an interactive platform to develop creativity, confidence, teamwork and practical life skills while learning in a fun environment.
The opening ceremony was attended by DG Lion Neena Dutta, ZC Lion Sanjay Jaiswal, GLT Lion Neeta Agarwal, GST Lion Sumita Sharma, LCIF Lion Neeraj Kala, DC Lion Sandeep Bakliwal, Lion P.K. Jain, Lion Rohit Jain and 1st Gentleman Rishi Jain.
The guests appreciated the initiative and encouraged the children to actively participate in the activities. The organisers said the camp provided participants an opportunity to make new friends, explore their interests and build confidence.
The programme was conducted under the leadership of President Lion Ritika Jain, Secretary Lion Sakshi Binaykia and Project Chairperson Lion Shweta Mundra, with support from members of the club.
The club said the successful completion of the camp reflected its commitment to youth development, education and community service.
