Dimapur, February 6 (MExN): The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) on February 6 expressed appreciation to the Government of India and the Nagaland state government for signing a one-year interim Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the interest of the people of Eastern Nagaland.
In a statement issued by the party’s national secretary, S Richard Humtsoe, the party said the step reflected a positive and constructive approach towards addressing the long-standing aspirations, developmental needs and administrative concerns of the people of Eastern Nagaland.
Congratulating both governments, the LJP (Ram Vilas) said the agreement demonstrated their commitment to dialogue, cooperation and inclusive governance.
The party also said it was proud to have representation from Eastern Nagaland through its elected member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly from the 55 Tobu constituency, Naiba Konyak. It said his presence in the Assembly strengthened the voice of the people and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the welfare and progress of the region. Expressing hope, the LJP (Ram Vilas) said the interim arrangement would pave the way for lasting peace, equitable development and a mutually agreeable long-term solution that upholds the dignity and aspirations of the people of Eastern Nagaland.
