13th Messiah Football Cup from Jan 3
Dimapur, December 29 (MExN): The 13th Messiah Football Cup will commence from January 3, 2012 at Litem Village, Tuensang district. The Cup sponsored by XL-United FC will be held with the theme ‘Unity in Football’. The chief guest will be Dr. Philip Limba Chang. The organising committee has requested all circulated villages, clubs and teams to get registered on or before December 31, 2011. Zhadima VYSA golden jubilee enters third day
Kohima, December 29 (MExN): The golden jubilee of the Zhadima Village Youth & Sports Organization (ZVYSA) entered the third day today at Zhadima village. Mentionably, chief minister Neiphiu Rio inaugurated the inaugural function on Wednesday. Indigenous games, wrestling competition, indoor games, football for both men and women, archery, air gun shooting competition, jubilee concert, Phituo & Sei Bagei competition etc. marked the golden jubilee celebration. Lighting of jubilee torch, 50 gun shots heralding 50 glorious years of ZVYSO, martial arts display, introduction of new ZVYSO team, ZVYSO jubilee concert also part of the occasion. The closing function will take place on December 30 at 1:00 PM with Dr. Nicky Kire, advisor Music Task Force and chairman Nagaland Khadi & Village Industries Board as the guest of honour.
