Longleng, April 11 (MExN): The Longleng District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB Longleng, W Manpai Phom at the DPDB hall Longleng on April 11.
As the monsoon season is approaching the house decided to conduct a mass social work during the month of May, mainly focusing on cleaning up of drainage within towns and in all the wards, stated a DIPR report. The house also agreed and decided to setup a committee to supervise the mass social work comprising of ADC as Convener, EE R&B, BDO Longleng, EE Urban, DPA DDMA, SDO civil and Addl SP to oversee the works during the mass social work.
The house also discussed the matter regarding parking issue within the stretch of town area, where the DC entrusted SP Longleng to take up the issue regarding the time regulation of the parking.
Earlier, during the meeting, DC Longleng highlighted the issue regarding the naming of NST point as Chinghong and Pangtok Memorial Point, which was submitted by the Hukphang village council to the Board, where the house discussed on the issue and agreed to the proposal.
The Department of Economic and Statistics Longleng presented its departmental activities through a PowerPoint presentation during the meeting. In the next DPDB meeting, the chairman entrusted the department of Evaluation to present their departmental activities.
