Manipur logs 411 new COVID-19 cases, 3 deaths

IMPHAL, JANUARY 23 (NNN): Manipur’s tally of COVID-19 cases crossed the 1.30-lakh mark on Sunday, with 411 more people testing positive for the infection in the past 24 hours.

There were three COVID-19 related deaths and this took the toll to 2.025. There were two deaths in Churachandpur and one in Imphal West. 

All the three deceased were fully vaccinated with the two doses of COVID-19 vaccine while two of them had comorbidities, the state health department said, in its latest bulletin.

The number of active cases in the state rose to 3,413 as 134 patients was discharged after treatment opposed to the 411 fresh cases.

Adding the latest recoveries, the total figure recovered cases in the state rose to 1,24,634 while the recovery rate further dropped to 95.82%. As per Sunday’s data, the state’s positivity rate stood at 16.4%. As many as 52 out of the 411 fresh cases were personnel of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF).
