Intermingle Club booked their berth in the finals of the MDFA Trophy 2018 by beating Telongjem FC 2-1. The first goal of the semi final match was scored by Telongjem FC in the 30th minute. Moasunep cleared through the Intermingle defense and scored an easy goal for Telongjem FC.
Just eight minutes after the first goal of Telongjem FC, Sanyem Konyak scored the equalizing goal for Intermingle Club. The first half of the match ended in a draw 1-1. A tense second half witnessed a defensive play from Telongjem FC.
However, in the 70th minute, Opanglemzung scored the second and the winning goal for Intermingle Club.
Intermingle Club will face Zonipang SA in the finale on October 27.
The second semi final match was graced by Roko Angami, President Nagaland Football Coaches Association & Former International player as the match patron. He encouraged the players to maintain self discipline and self control so as to shine in the field of football.
He informed that the Nagaland Football Coaches Association is ready to conduct football coaching camp in Mokokchung and asked Mokokchung District Football Association to keep in touch whenever their service is required.
He also called for putting united effort to promote the beautiful game of football.
