Grand Elite SC had an easy win 4-0 against Mosaic at the ongoing MDFA Trophy on Monday.
L Temjen secured a hattrick in the first half of the game in the 31st, 36th and 40th minute and a fourth goal was scored by Ating in the 57th minute of the game. Mosaic suffered their third loss making it impossible for them to qualify for the quarter finals.
The second match between SSS Blue beat NU Lumami 1-0. The lone goal of the match was scored by Angangba of SSS Blue in the 8th minute of the game. NU Lumami and SSS Blue were on equal footing when it came to all round game play however NU Lumami failed to equalize, increasing hopes for SSS Blue to enter the quarter finals.
Meanwhile, Intermingle yet again managed a massive victory by beating Hills XI 12-1, making them one of the top scoring teams of the tournament. The young Hills XI players feel prey to the much experienced and well set up Intermingle team.
The first goal was scored in the first two minutes after play off by Limkumzuk, who also scored another goal in the 13th minute. Yhunshalo scored five goals making him a contender for the highest goal scorer of the tournament. Nungshimoa, Wapongtemjen, Opanglemzung Golmei Ninja and Bendangnukshi also scored a goal each for the team.
7 goals were scored in the first half while 5 goals were scored in the second half of the game. The only goal for Hills XI was scored by Tsupongtemsu in the 54th minute of the game.
