Dimapur, June 6 (MExN): MGM College organised a transformational leadership development session for its faculty and staff members, with leadership expert Sabastian Samuel stressing the importance of vision, integrity and continuous personal growth in building effective leaders.
The interactive session, held on June 5, was led by Sabastian Samuel, Regional Director of Peak Point Leadership, Hyderabad, who shared insights on leadership in academic and professional environments.
Drawing from his experience in leadership training and organisational development, Samuel highlighted the need for vision, commitment, teamwork, effective communication and personal growth to become impactful leaders.
The programme provided participants with practical strategies to strengthen their leadership abilities, improve professional effectiveness and foster a positive work culture through interactive discussions, real-life examples and thought-provoking activities.
Samuel encouraged faculty and staff members to embrace challenges, develop a growth mindset and lead by example, stating that true leadership is defined not by position or authority but by influence, character and the ability to inspire others towards a common goal.
He also urged educators to become transformational leaders capable of positively shaping the lives of students and contributing meaningfully to society.
The programme was attended by MGM College Administrator Fr Giju George and Principal Dr R K Behera.
The college expressed gratitude to Samuel for sharing his expertise and said it looks forward to organising more such programmes to promote leadership excellence, professional growth and institutional development.
