Midland Kohima gets waste segregation vehicle

The Midland Ward Kohima received a waste segregation vehicle from Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) on August 4. This brand new pick-up truck, funded under Swachh Bharat Kosh, Urban Development, will be used by Upper Midland sector for waste segregation.

KMC councillor from Midland ward No 9- Kekhrieselhou (Neiu) Metha handed over the vehicle key to Midland Council chairman Menuokholie Kire during a thanksgiving prayer programme held at Midland Community Building on August 4.

Meanwhile, Menuokholie Kire thanked Metha as under whose initiative the vehicle was allotted to the ward. He also expressed gratitude to KMC chairperson Neibodzelie Solo, KMC CEO Alemyapang Longchar, and urban development department for extending such facility to the ward.

Earlier, Midland Baptist Church pastor Neisalie Rossi pronounced a dedicatory prayer.

Midland Youth Organization (MYO) president Ako Koso (Madi), Midland Women Organization (MWO) president Nino Zhasa, including others also present at the programme.

Mentionably, Midland was the recipient of the best and the cleanest ward of the KMC during 2024.
