Tuensang, August 12 (MExN): Minister for Housing and Mechanical Engineering, and Public Works Department, P Bashangmongba Chang, visited landslide-affected areas along National Highway 202 near the IOC petrol pump in Tuensang on August 12, according to the State DIPR.
During the visit, the Minister appreciated the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Tuensang, for its timely intervention and evacuation of families from the affected areas, which helped avert loss of life.
Describing the incident as unfortunate, Chang conveyed his sympathy to the affected families. He was accompanied by the district administration, DDMA Tuensang, heads of line departments and party workers.
Earlier in the morning, Chang flagged off the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ bike rally from Parade Ground, Tuensang, the State DIPR reported.
