Kohima, April 11 (MExN): The Miss Phek Foundation Scholarship 2025 was handed over to two beneficiaries at Phek town on April 10. 

Last year, MPF sponsored one student and this year, it will be sponsoring another two students.

The students are selected based on their academic excellence and if they continue to do well and excel, the Foundation shall continue to support their further education as well.

The Miss Phek Foundation Scholarship 2025 is an initiative of Vogue Entertainment Nagaland in collaboration with District Hub, Department of Social Welfare, Phek.

This scholarship aims to empower underprivileged girls in Phek district by providing access to quality education, enabling them to contribute to their communities. The scholarship support girls from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in pursuing their education, facilitate access to quality education, promoting academic excellence and personal growth.

It also encourages beneficiaries to contribute to their communities, fostering positive change.

During the scholarship’s handing over programme, Phek Deputy Commissioner John Tsulise Sangtam complimented MPF and encouraged the beneficiaries saying that “our economic condition should not hinder from pursuing education.” Vileno K Thisa, District Mission Coordinator for the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Phek also present on the occasion. Ravolu Chuzho, chairperson, Miss Phek Foundation chaired the function and emphasized the importance of education in empowering girls.
